Yesterday after classes my roommate Blaize and I went to go check out the Clark Women’s Tennis match. Our friend and old roommate Phoebe is on the team so we decided to go support her and cheer her on. They were playing against Mount Holyoake which meant it was a conference game. We got there a little late and missed the doubles matches but we were able to catch the singles. Phoebe played great however Mount Holyoke is a really good team. Clark ended up losing but there were still some exciting matches.

After the tennis match I met up with my friend and softball teammate Chloe. It was nearing dinner time and neither of us felt like cooking. We’re both off of the meal plan this year because we live in apartments and let me tell you that being off the meal plan is awful! Maybe it’s just me because I hate to cook/don’t know how but I really miss all the options that the caf offers. Anyways, we decided to walk to Mais Voce, a little Italian take-out restaurant that’s right down the street from Clark. We each got a calzone and then walked back to the Dolan Field House to catch the Women’s Soccer game. My roommate Joanna is the goalie for Clark so of course I had to go cheer her on. They were playing Springfield college who is ranked 23rd in the country so I knew this was going to be a tough game. Clark played really well in the beginning and the score was still 0-0 after half time. But the second half was a different story. I won’t go into much detail but Clark ended up losing. I felt really bad because this was their first conference loss but Joanna played a great game. In fact last week she was named NEWMAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week!

So all in all it was a very sports-ish day. Now I need to go catch up on some reading…
