Very Active Week!!

Hey everyone,So this week was a lot of fun! Besides the lovely hectic-ness of all my classes, and getting my mid-term exams back (no comments :-) it was a very fun week. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday I have hip hop practices for 4 separate dances. Monday’s practice was for “Calabria and The Anthem ” a song that is so much fun to dance to. The dance is pretty straight forward except for this little break-dance moves that we do that required a little “upper-body strength” that I obviously have a lot of!! Excuse me for my sarcasm. Tuesdays Dance was for “Bounce” and it had a whole 30 seconds of full out break dancing moves. It will look great once we all nailed the moves but for now we are just pumping iron and learning how to balance your entire body weight on only one hand and the heel of your foot. Wednesday I found out that our intramural soccer team, the thundercats, made it to the co-ed playoffs!! Which is exciting because it means we don’t suck quite as bad as the other teams apparently? We had no high expectations for the game but we really wanted to win so we played hard and went for it. We were amazing, clear passes, fluid motion, great defense and great finishes. We beat our opponents 5-1 and made it to the semi-finals which are next Wednesday. So being as cocky as only one can be after winning a quarterfinal soccer match 5-1, I went to my friend Fahad (from Saudi Arabia) who is an amazing soccer player and is the captain of his own intramural team, to ask him to help train me so that I can play better and learn some tricks in order to crush the other team (the Spartans) in our next game and go on to the final to win the league and be champions! (This sounds a lot like a huge diabolic plan to rule the world ahha) Unfortunately, to my horror and dismay, Fahad informed me that this so called “team Spartan” I plan to crush is in fact hiss intramural team!! (Exclaiming that “they are Sparta”) And he reassured me that it is in fact my team that will be the ones being crushed. I have seen them play so I don’t doubt his threat, his team is by far at a much higher par than ours, but I am hoping it’s their confidence that will be their weakness. They won’t know what hit them on Wednesday!Thursday and Friday was more hip hop dancing, “4 minutes by Madonna and J-Timberlake” on Friday and this other partner dance on Thursday. Overall I had a very active week and extra endorphins from working out so much have added to my general happy demeanor. It’s Columbus Day on Monday so we have no classes, meaning no Labs next week for physics of biochemistry (yay for me!) but this just means I have more time to do homework! Okay I am in the library now finishing off a lab report so I have to stop here. Just a side note; they are renovating our library and the parts we are allowed to use now are already really cool to study in. Spacious desks, office chairs, comfy couches and floor lamps. I can’t wait to see it finished in January.Okay have a great Saturday you guys and stay out of trouble… laterzzz
