I went to visit a barn with the Clark equestrian team this Wednesday. It was my first time going to a real barn. The trip was really cool. The barn was about a 30 minutes’ drive from Clark. Allison (one of the co-captains) showed us how to brush the horses, tack, and put saddles on the the horses’ backs. The horse in the picture above is called Scarlet. She has brown hair which is really soft. She is a nice and smart girl; she lifted her foot when we cleaned her horseshoe; she also opened her mouth when we put the mouth tack. After enjoying my time with Scarlet, my friend and I went to talk to the coach about future lessons and I was very excited to start my first class!!!
After I came back from the barn, I went to watch a intramural soccer game that my friends were playing. Their team is called Diablo. It was their first play-off game. Everyone played well. Our goalie Kevin was exstraordinaryly outstanding, he did a great job keeping the ball out of the goal. Other team members also did their job to score and they had a number of great passes. Our team worked very well together as a team and managed to create pressure for our opponents. I am sure they will play well in the next play-off game as well with such good work. GO DIABLO!
