Tuesday night the dining hall extended its hours for the election. They had the giant projection screen going and served food and drinks throughout the night. The place was absolutely packed! Every time Obama was projected to win a state, the place went crazy. It was great to see everyone uniting and celebrating our new president.
Saturday my friends and I took a road trip to Springfield College to watch my roommate Joanna’s soccer game. It’s the playoffs now and last week we went to their quarter-final game vs Babson College. After regulation and two periods of overtime, the score was still 0-0. Clark ended up winning it in penalty kicks 4-3 with Joanna scoring their final penalty kick and then making the final save to secure the win (she’s the goalie).
Saturday’s semi-final game vs Wheaton was pretty similar to that of Babson. After the half, the score was still 0-0 with both teams having little shots on goal. The second half was all about the defense too until Wheaton scored with 1:05 remaining on the clock. Clark was unable to score in the last minute and ended up losing 1-0. It was a tough loss but still a really great game to watch. This was also the first time that Clark women’s soccer has made it to the NEWMAC semi-finals in a number of years so they still have a lot to be proud of.
Sunday I went home to visit my sister Jenn who just had a baby girl! Her name is Kaleigh Rose and is the cutest little baby. Here are some pictures of her…
