Jazz Band and more

On Sunday night, I went to see Clark’s Jazz Ensemble and Combos perform in the Traina Center’s Razzo Hall.  It was a good concert.  I especially enjoyed when vocalists performed with the group.  They did rousing renditions of “The Chicken”, “Song for Bilboa” and “The Look of Love” among many others.  Later in the evening, a band called No Age performed in the Grind, which is in the basement of the University Center.  It’s a more casual setting than Razzo Hall, and plays host to a variety of acts.  No Age drew a pretty good crowd for a show in the Grind.  It was sponsored by P.E.C, the Pub Entertainment Committee, which brings bands to campus.

Tonight, I went to a Residence Hall Association (RHA) meeting to discuss plans for a holiday program in our building.  We will be shopping for Christmas presents for two children, so we went over logistics, funding and what to purchase.  This is just one example of the type of program put on by RHA.  Each building has a chapter, so no matter where you live, there are opportunities to design events for other people in the building and the community.  Here’ s a picture of some of Sanford Hall’s RHA.

Tomorrow after class, I’ll be catching a WRTA bus to Union Station, then heading west to my house with Greyhound.  The campus will definitely clear out, but there are always people who choose to remain in Worcester.  Happy Thanksgiving to everybody!

Until next week,

Jeremy
