Pre-Finals week

Hey everybody,

This week was good, kind of the calm before the storm that everyone’s expecting this next week to be.  There were a lot of things going on for this last weekend of the semester.  On Thursday night, the Residential Life and Housing department had a party for all of the RAs, the Frozen Fiesta.  They got us pizza and wings.  Lots of wings.  I have a picture of the wings below because they were that great.  There’s also a picture of some other RAs feasting.  Later on Thursday night, I went to Hillel’s early Hanukkahpalooza.  There were latkes, dreidel playing/making and songs.  A lot of my friends went to see the Dark Knight, which was sponsored by Clark University Film Society.

Friday night had a ton of events to offer.  Before dinner, I went to an exhibition which featured art by local high school students, called “Us & Them” (no relation to the Pink Floyd song).  A Clark class and a few local public schools collaborated to put on this nice event.  A local restaurant, One Love Cafe, catered the event.  After dinner, I checked out the Clark Dance Society/Variant Dance Troupe performance.  They both were very good.  After dance, I watched the Clark Bars’ a Cappella show in the Traina Center.  Groups from Smith College and Northeastern University performed with them.  I liked all the songs, but the encore, “Cold as Ice”, stood out especially.  After the concert, I went to Newman Association’s Christmas Party.  There were make-your-own card tables, tons of food and an appearance by Santa Claus.  Pictures of the 4 events included below.

Last night I was on duty, so I finished watching the Godfather with some friends, studied and celebrated a friend’s birthday.

Classes ended on Friday, so this next week is all paper writing and studying for me.  I’ll be going home next weekend, so this is probably the last entry until next year.  I don’t think you want to see pictures of the crowded library,  but let me know if that interests you and I’ll post some.

Have a good end of the year,

Jeremy
