Sportful weekend

Hello everybody,

This week was pretty busy.  I did a lot of work and had fun too.  Clarkies rang in St. Patrick’s Day with lots of green and corn beef in the dining hall on Tuesday.  Intramural soccer season is up and running.  Combined with all of the new sunlight from Daylight Savings Time, I can feel summer on it’s way.  On Tuesday, I got an e-mail from my French host for next year.  It seems so much more real now that I know my address.  The weather was very nice this weekend.  On Friday, I went to see the Hip Hop Collabo performance in Atwood Hall.  They were very impressive as always.  I always feel uncoordinated after watching their shows.  There were a couple lectures on campus on Friday night as well.

Yesterday, I rode a bike from Clark’s new bike rental service to watch a soccer game on TV downtown.  This new service is awesome.  All students have to do is give their ID cards in at the University Center, then choose a bicycle to take until midnight.  Worcester is a nice city to ride around in.  I think I am going to take my bike back next time I have a chance to do so.  After watching soccer, I played basketball and listened to a band who set up and played next to Freud’s statue on campus.  At night, I was on RA duty, so I watched TV, made s’mores in the kitchen and listened to music with friends.

Today, I went ice skating with some friends and had an intramural soccer game, which we won 1-0.  Ice skating was awesome.  There was a 2 hour free skate period, so a few friends and I went out for a nice afternoon.  The soccer games are held in the Dolan Field House and are refereed by students.

Tomorrow morning I’m getting up early to go to the Claremont Academy to observe a US History class for my Education class.  I am looking forward to warm weather (hopefully).  Have a good week,
Jeremy
