Spree Day, Asian Glow Party and Easter Sunday

Hey EveryoneSo this Tuesday was Spree day at Clark, which is a day that they cancel all classes and put out inflatables and games for everyone to play. There is also a free breakfast and lunch for everyone, as well as a concert in the Gym. This year the band Guster came to play at Clark. I woke up at 6am with my friends on Spree Day to grab breakfast at the Annie’s Clark Diner right on the corner of Downing street. She makes the best fried eggs and huge pancakes for really cheap. After we had our full breakfast for under $5 bucks, we went of to the Kneller Athletic Centre to  register for Spree Day. We received out wristbands and free Spree day shirts and immediately went to play the inflatable games. My friends and I are big fans of Laser Tag, so that was the first stop. Followed closely by a game of inflatable touch Football, where they strap you on a pulley and you have to run across the inflatable field to get to the End zone and score a touch down! But as you are pulling forward, you opponent is pulling in the opposite direction so sometimes you fly backwards and bounce around a lot. I won at the end of it all though, which I was rather pleased about. All Day was pretty much a fun hang out day with friends, loads of eating junk food and playing games. You have to Love spree DAY!!Saturday was Asian Glow Party in the Grind sponsored by the Clark’s Asian Culture Society (ACS). It was like many typical club-style Clark parties. Glow sticks, hit music and loads of dancing. Decorations were very eastern Asian Orientals, and we even had some asian break dancers do their thing on the dance floor!!Easter Sunday was today and Clark is located right across a huge Catholic Church on Main Street. I am personally protestant, but my catholic friend, my other protestant friend and even my muslim friend decided to all go to church this morning for some spiritual revitalization (and it was Easter Sunday and I really wanted to go because I go every year when I was home). There were actually many Clarkies at the service today, I met several of my friends there and made some new ones as well. It is nice to know that even in the hectic life of being a overworked, sleep-deprived college student, you can still find a community of Clark students who either share or are willing to embrace my desire to go to church on a sunday morning. Special thanks to my friend Sahar from Pakistan who had never stepped foot in a church before, but was extremely eager to learn about christianity today and came along. She promised to take me to a mosque in worcester one friday to learn more about the muslim religion. We will see how that trip goes, till then! My SPREE DAY T-shirt!Asian Glow PartyPaper Lateran Decor
