Jesse Mattleman

Hey! My name is Jesse Mattleman. I’m a junior at Clark majoring in
International Development and Social Change, with a concentration (like a
minor) in Ethics and Public Policy. My real passion, and what I love to
study best within both my major and concentration, is Global Public
Health.

Before coming to Clark, I took a gap year to volunteer and travel abroad
in Latin America – mostly Guatemala. What really sealed the deal that
Clark was the right place for me was that after coming back from an
incredible and eye-opening year, I was able to study IDSC (so relevant!)
and meet others who were either from overseas or internationally-minded.
It was a wonderful treat :)

At Clark I’m involved in a bunch of groups, from the MAD Scholars to
Yoga@ClarkU. In addition, I am very active in the community as a yoga
instructor at a local studio, intern at a public health agency downtown
and frequent diner at many of Worcester’s amazing restaurants!

I would be happy to answer any questions you have (or point you in the
direction of someone who can), so feel free to email me. I hope this blog
brings you a little closer to Worcester and Clark, and offers a peek into
all the exciting activities happening both on and off campus!
